What could be cuter than a daddy-daughter dance? It was the first one for both of them and while they both enjoyed it very much, the little one of them was in heaven. Katie has been talking about this dance for weeks. Before it was time to go I gave her a special bath with her little mermaid bubbles, painted her fingers and toe nails, put on her brand new pink dress and gloves, blew dry her bangs (which she did not like but then declared that her hair "looked like Cinderella") and filled up her little purse. What goes in a three-year-olds purse you might ask: lips (lipgloss), mirror, hair clip, and the number one item she wanted in there: mini marshmellows. A girl's gotta be prepared. She insisted on wearing her "up shoes" which were a little big on her but she made do with them. She looked lovely. Daddy gave her flowers to her utter delight. Jason said she danced the night away, wouldn't sit out a single dance, and even won a door prize (barbie fairytopia DVD). What a great night! Here are some of the funny things she said on the way out the door:
"Daddy's my prince tonight. Not a human, a prince."
"Tonight I'll marry Daddy, and tomorrow it's your turn."
