We surprised the kids with a couple of days at Disneyland after the wedding. We didn't tell them we were going and they were so surprised. They said we were the best parents in the world, which we are, and that we were the sneakiest. We had an awesome two days and it was very cool to be there on the boys' birthdays. Monday was Adam's birthday so he got to pick the first ride and anywhere he wanted to go for lunch. He picked Space Mountain and pizza. Tuesday was Noah's birthday and he picked Soaring over California and Mexican food. They all loved it so much. We loved the new Radiator Springs Racers ride and the boys went on it a ton of times in the single rider line while we waited with Missy in the regular line. They loved Goofy's flying school and went on it so many times that Jason and I were sick! We saw lots of great shows- the Muppets, Aladdin, and Bug's life. Favorites were: Matterhorn Bobsleds (everyone), Indiana Jones (Noah), California Screamin (Adam), Radiator Springs Racers (Katie). We ate many churros, ice creams, popcorn, and suckers. We were at a hotel very close and just walked over everyday. At night we went swimming and hot tubing. On Tuesday night we stayed for the World of Color show which was really cool. The kids had some birthday cash from Grandma and Grandpa so they got to pick some fun toys. Katie bought a little Lady stuffed animal, Adam a light up light saber, and Noah a mickey mouse watch. I just love watching these cute kids have such a blast! Definitely worth all the secret planning!

Bonus Visit!
While in California for the wedding we also got to visit some of our favorite people- the Marstons! Steph made us a delicious dinner and a birthday cake for the boys. What a great aunt she is! The kids were so thrilled to see their cousins and get to spend the day together playing around and kicking the soccer ball over at the park. We sure do love them.

Aunt Mandy gets Married!
Mandy and Nathan got married two weeks ago. It was a beautiful wedding in Long Beach. The two of them were so in love it was very sweet to witness! Jason was able to officiate which was an awesome opportunity. He did a great job. The setting was beautiful and it was so fun to be surrounded by family that we don't often get the chance to see. The kids had a blast being with their cousins and dancing the night away. They also enjoyed the food- the donut and lemonade bar were a huge hit. Mandy looked so beautiful and we are so happy for her and Nathan and excited to have him join our family. Congrats lovebirds!

Number Nine
Our soccer season started this Saturday with Adam's first game. His team won 3-2. He made two goals and played really well. I like watching him play soccer- he is aggressive and fast and always plays his heart out. The refs were calling off-sides this game so that was a little frustrating because the coach hadn't spent any time explaining it to the boys and they were pretty confused. I really don't like that rule! This kid loves his sports!
Toothless
Katie knocked out all four of her front teeth last week! She was jumping on the trampoline with her brother and caught a big bounce from him, fell into the net laughing and her teeth got caught in the net and yank! She ran into the house bleeding lots and all those teeth were sticking straight out. We took her to the best dentist in the world (Papa) and he pulled out her teeth. She was so super brave and good as new very soon after. She hasn't let it bug her and still eats everything and talks pretty darn cute but imagine her saying- "You better watch out buster!" to her brothers just like Elmer Fudd.

Back to School Party
This year we borrowed an idea from my sister Steph and had a back to school party at Grammy and Papa's house. We had mini classes for art, PE, and music and we had lunch and a message from the principal (Papa) about the coming year. We read Weberly Worried and Ms. Nelson is missing- two favorites from my childhood. They also got some very fun school supplies from Grammy and Papa. It was a great party.
