Christmas/New Year's with the Paces

We love our Christmas trip to California to visit Grandma and Grandpa. It is so fun to be together with the whole family. Laura always has lots of things planned for the kids that they love, and they loved being with their cousins. There was lots of swimming, Katie got her tea party, we got our bunco new year's eve, and everyone had an awesome time! Happy New Year!

Journey to Atlantis

We went with the whole Pace family to Atlantis for Thanksgiving this year. We had an amazing time in the sunshine sitting by the pool, on the beach, going down the water slides, the lazy river, and just wet fun! The kids absolutely loved it! The hotel was just amazing. It was decorated for Christmas and was just gorgeous. There were aquariums everywhere and even the water slides ended up going through a shark tank (scary, but awesome!) There was even a visit from Santa, plus every night at dinner all the ice cream and dessert you could eat!! Good luck getting into your swimsuit by the end of the week. Katie won't soon forget her good dolphin friend Kelli! Many thanks to Lloyd and Laura for such an unforgettable trip!

Trip to the Oregon Coast

We went to Seaside, OR for a few days and had a great time. A couple of the memorable parts of the trip: We lost Adam down at the beach and were in a very big panic trying to find him. I was so worried I cried and just was so scared. After several minutes of Jason and I searching up and down the beach we went back to the towels to decide what to do and there he was. He went to the lifeguard tower and found us. We were SO relieved. The tide just carries you away sometimes and you look up and can't find your family. The kids loved feeding the seals little fishes. The seals would make lots of noise and clap their flippers to get you to throw it to them. It was a laugh. Tons of taffy everywhere- yum. Best flavor: birthday cake! Our hotel didn't have a pool but gave you a pass to the community pool. The boys loved it and had an amazing time on the water slide, floating raft, and hot tub. On the way home we stopped in Astoria, where they filmed Goonies and went to the Goonies Museum. We had a great time.
