Old Swimming Hole

My Mom, the kids, and I went over to the old swimming hole on Anderson Island. We had a great time riding the ferry, playing in the sand, eating snacks, relaxing, and swimming. It's so nice to live close to Grammy and be able to have fun together! It's also wonderful to live in such a BEAUTIFUL place!! Lovely blue sky and ocean and tons of green everywhere! Heaven!

Bear Lake

What a great time we had!! The kids were in heaven. We hung out at the lake most of the day playing in the water and sand and going out in the boat. Katie loved riding the tube and the boys even gave wake boarding a try. The lake was very cold, but the kids didn't seem to mind. The sun was shining and they had their cousins as fun playmates. Katie and Becks were such great friends it was fun to watch. The house we stayed in was wonderful with a downstairs full of games for the kids. It also included a movie theater room for late night movies. We ate raspberry shakes, played round the world ping-pong, watched movies, biked, hiked, relaxed under our beach umbrellas, played minute to win it, and just generally had a fun and relaxing trip. The kids and us want to send a big THANK YOU to grandpa and grandma for such a fun time!!

Summertime

Summer! Love it! We have been very busy enjoying ourselves. The beach, park, and sprinklers; vacation bible school - they loved that! Mariners vs. Yankees game- yum cotton candy, movies (everything from Toy Story3 to the Last Airbender), jumping endlessly on the trampoline at Grammy's, hiking, biking, and berry picking. Riding in the car with the windows down, laying in the grass in the backyard, long summer nights, lemonade, Popsicles, sand & swimsuits and hardly any chores to do. Hooray for summer!

4th of July

Another great fourth! We had the best of everything, food, weather, and company. The kids loved the field games which included, but were not limited to, a three-legged race and silly relay race. My dad's potato salad was so good and Jason's homemade banana-chocolate chip-walnut ice cream--well some of us are still thinking about it. We had a very enjoyable fireworks show in front of our house and it was great. I'm not a big fireworks gal myself, but I forgot how much the kids love them. Love this holiday, being with my family, and this country!
