Boo!

Well here they are!! Our own set of Super Mario Brothers. Seriously cute, right? Katie is darling in her fairy costume but due to her current cold, she will be bundled up all day and thus this picture is one I took of her in her costume a little while ago. Still you get the idea, Fairy Katie = adorable. I know you just want to squeeze her!! Noah has his big class Halloween party today complete with school parade at one, which we will try to brave the dark and stormy day for. After school it's going to be dinner then the trunk or treat! Can't wait for the candy sorting after trick or treating, always the funnest part. Hope everyone has a spooky and fun filled Halloween!

Pumpkins, Kittens, & Hay Rides

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday after our soccer games and had great weather to be out picking pumpkins! The kids loved doing the hay bale maze, petting the baby animals, and taking a hayride out to the patch. Noah and Katie really loved petting the kittens, they were so cute!!! When we were sitting on the hay ride Katie really wanted to lean out the side and watch everything going by. She has been so independent lately that she had a fit when Jason put his arm around her to keep her in the wagon. Finally she settled for having his hand grab her around her pant's waist. She is such a funny little girl. Everyone picked out great pumpkins and I'm sure we will have a great time carving them next week!

Little Mama

A lot of Katie's birthday presents this year had to do with babies. She got a baby stroller, 2 playpens, a swing, new babies and lots of bottles. She adores them! She has been playing with her baby stuff non-stop. At first she tried to get into the swing and playpen herself and was very mad when I wouldn't let her, but then when I showed her it was for her babies she was thrilled. She puts them to bed, feeds them their bottles of milk, and strolls them around the house. She even has a little diaper bag. It is a really cute sight to see her being the little mama.

Crash & Learn

It finally happened! We had such a beautiful sunshiny day today and Jason and I took the kids to the park and....Noah learned to ride his bike!!! There were some crashes early on, but he persisted and is now a bike riding boy!

Happy Katie Day!!

Katie you're two!

Here are a few of your favorite things:

Food: chicken nuggets, rice pilaf, and pizza

Treat: chocolate, fruit snacks

Story: If you see a kitten, Bing Bunny

Color: Pink
Here are some things you love: Babies, music & dancing, water, babies, your pink blanket, shoes, dollhouse, babies, any animal, getting thrown up in the air, trying on every one's shoes, babies, and going for walks.

So here is your typical day:

You wake up at around 7:30. Addie always listens for you and says "Katie's awake. Can I go in there?" First thing you are hungry!! Scrambled eggs and toast, or waffles, or cereal for breakfast. Then get ready and we are off to take one or both of the boys to school. Then we do errands with Grammy, or we are home and you play with your dollhouse, babies, and other toys. Then Addie comes home and you and him have lunch and play. He likes to build you forts where you pretend to sleep. Sometimes you guys just chase and run around. You are a very cooperative sister. Then nap time. After naps we go play at the bus stop and get Noah. Then it's dinnertime and family time. Stories and bath before bed, and prayers too, which you are surprisingly reverent for. Katie we love you so much. You are a complete joy to us all and we are so happy that you are part of our family. Welcome to the terrible twos, which with you are bound to be more terrific than terrible.

Jeepers Creepers

So I love Halloween, and today we got started with the festivities. That's right...we have so many things to do to celebrate that we have to start already! For family night we made paper plate skeletons, put out all our Halloween decor, and decorated Halloween sugar cookies. I have been tivo-ing all kinds of awesome scary kid movies, Goosebumps and stuff and Noah and I are reading Bunnicula. The costumes are almost ready, and I found what looks like a really fun new place for a bonfire with scary stories. I have already been listening to my itunes Halloween mix, and even Katie if you ask her "who you gonna call?" will respond Ghost busters.
