Nisqually Campfire

So this is as close as we Stevens come to actually camping. You get the hiking, playing in the dirt, exploring the woods, rope bridges, hot dogs, campfire and s'mores. Then there is none of the actual sleeping among the bears. Just the way I like it.

The Swimming Hole

We sure do love the swimming hole on Anderson Island. We go there every year and love the ferry ride over and the swimming area. Thank goodness for the nice older gentleman who helped me get my car started after the battery had died- and we didn't even miss the ferry!

Old McDebbie's Farm

We had never been here before but it really was a very fun farm! The kids got to fish with the help of Papa and they all caught a fish. They also got to see the man gut it and they were less thrilled with that part. Yuck. All kinds of animals to see and hold. Katie and Evie adored the kittens and bunnies. I was a little freaked out with all the giant llamas roaming around. Goats, chickens, pigs, donkey, horses, and even a camel. They all got to take a ride on a pony around the lake. Nothing could top how fun it was to feed the animals- even though the camel was pretty tricky, especially for little Grant.

Summer Fun with the Family

We have been having a very busy summer! We have been spending lots of time with family-- getting all the cousins together is always so much fun! We have been going to the farmer's market, meeting at different parks for lunch and playing, washing the play car at Grammy's and swimming in her hot tub, going on walks, playing games at the park, wandering around Olympia, celebrating little Julie's birthday, going to the movies, VBS, and tons of other fun things. The weather has been amazing and we just love all being together.
