All my Favorite Primary Songs

Our family got to have dinner with Janice Kapp Perry. Her husband and her were so sweet. She sang us her family song (darling!) and we all got to sing her songs with her. It was a wonderful night and she is an amazingly talented woman.

On the Road Again

Road trip! What do you do when spring break is rainy and cold-- roadtrip to Eastern Washington for the promise of better weather and fun. We were excited to go because Grammy and Papa were going to come with us. Jason was too busy with work so we brought in reinforcements. We had a great time!! Here is our route and what we saw: Ginkgo Petrified Wood forest for a hike, Papa and the kids ran up to the top of Wild Horse Monument, in Wenatchee was walked over the Columbia River Bridge, toured the Aplets and Cotlets factory, explored the Grand Coulee Dam, hiked at Steamboat Rock State Park, went to a night carnival with rides, checked out the museum in Yakima, and ended with walking the Greenway. All this plus lots of swimming, yummy food, and excellent company. What a great trip!!

Green Hornets

Baseball season is here again. Adam is back on the Green Hornets team and after winning the championship last year and then losing three of their great players to moves the team has it's work cut out for it. So far they are having a great season. This year the kids switch from machine pitch to kid pitching and this makes for lots of walks, getting hit with pitches, and generally super long games. Like 2 and a half hours. In spite of the length it is fun to watch Adam play. He is great in the outfield, good at second base, and still a great hitter. He loves his baseball!
This is what Katie thinks of the game length!

Camp

Noah and I went to sixth grade camp together. They needed another chaperon and he really wanted me to go. We were kind of unsure about sending him so this seemed like a good idea to make sure things would go smoothly. Unless you're me and you actually have to go- then it didn't seem like that great of an idea. One trip to sixth grade camp in your life is definitely enough. It was fun to be with Noah and see him interacting with his friends. Sixth grade is rough. Everyone is so desperate for a friendly face- I'm glad Noah knew I was there, even if most of the time we weren't together. Come to find out Noah is a funny kid with lots of friends who generally fits right in and he had a great time. I even got to see him dance a little at the dork dance!

Happy Jason Day

Jason's 40! He is as fun as two 20-year-olds. We had a big party-we partied like it was 1973. Lots of friends, food, and games about Jason. He is a great guy. Wonderful husband and awesome father. Jason's parents came up and surprised him for the weekend. He loved it and the kids and I kept the secret so he was really surprised. The following weekend his brother came up and surprised him. They had a great time hanging out and going to a Mariners game. 40 is the new 30. We sure are lucky to be a part of his life. Here's to forty more years together sweetie. Love you!

Bears

Check out Adam's latest pinewood derby creation. Yep- it was fast and it blew away all the other competition! Adam had been working hard and also earned his Bear badge. See me in my cub scout shirt? Yes- you guessed it. I am Adam's den leader with Grammy. After I got released from being the Primary President when Jason got called as Bishop I was able to move on over to cub scouts with Adam. It has been fun being his leader. He is a wonderful scout and always helpful, respectful, and listening in our meetings. He has great scout spirit!
