New Resolutions

Well I have decided to update the blog as part of a new resolution to get back to journaling. This will be a challenge since I am a FULL two years behind. I will only be able to hit some highlights, and will probably forget lots of important stuff. However, if there were pictures taken, they are going to make it on here. Hopefully. This is a typical lovely Sunday dinner at Mom and Dad's. Good times.
Then this happened. I don't think even two years later I would forget, and I'll bet Julie hasn't forgotten either. I can't believe I got a picture of this. Nice!

Arrow of Light

Last night Noah was awarded the Arrow of Light. If you are not familiar with cub scouting (most people aren't!) it is the highest award that you can receive and it is one of only two awards that you can wear on your uniform as a boy scout. Noah has worked very hard at scouting and we were super proud of him last night! He got to "cross the bridge" over into boy scouting as he will now be ready to be an 11 year old scout. It was fun to watch some of my Webelos receive this award-they are all such sweet boys and our den will certainly miss them. Now that my time as a Bear and Webelos Den mom it done I'll be turning Noah's scouting over to his father, just in time for me to start again with Addie. I am excited, cub scouting is a blast and I am very glad I was able to have the fun I did with Noah!

The Marstons in San Diego (Trip part 2)

Here is the run down on our trip to Steph's in San Diego: panning for gold at the Mormon Battalion Museum, the zoo (amazing gorillas), swimming at Del Mar, boarding at Torry Pines beach, lots of swimming in the pool, movies, tons of treats, orange picking (without any rattlesnake sightings), trampoline jumping, In-n-Out eating, and so much laughing and fun!! We miss them so much already and can't wait to see them again soon!! My sister and her hubby are always such wonderful hosts! We loved it and hope they let us come and stay again next summer.

California Trip Part 1 (Grandma & Grandpa's)

Let's see if I can sum up our trip in 10 words or less: sun, swimming, tea party, water slides, movies, shopping, swinging, food, family, and fun! Lots of fun! We love our summer trips to Grandma and Grandpa's!!

God Bless America

Parade, bounce houses, Elvis impersonator, snow cones, bbq, trampoline, wiffle ball, homemade ice cream, Jason's fireworks show, Steilacoom's fireworks show, and bedtime! Dad's potato salad was delicious! Not to mention his monster burgers (which he bet Noah $5 he couldn't eat the whole thing--he did!). Jason got our family wiffle ball game going and it turns out we have just the right amount of people to make it interesting. The boys made some great plays! The fireworks we lit were fun and the kids loved it! Lizzy and Julie really liked them, it was very cute! After we were done lighting our own we went out to Steilacoom and watched the big show. It was amazing and beautiful and we haven't seen a show like that for a few years, but the kids all stayed up for it and loved it.
